Women Centered Care

Too often, the term "healthcare" pertains only to men. I specialize in WOMEN'S health, which means better and smarter care throughout all stages of a woman's life. My team is solely focused on caring for your needs and ensuring that you have the best experience.

The Beauty of Being a Woman

Prior to pursuing a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology, I received training in plastic and reconstructive procedures. A unique aspect of my practice is the integration of cosmetics into well-woman care. From the postpartum period to menopause or anything in between.

Being a woman is hard enough, let us help!

FAQs

Q: What type of procedures/surgeries do you perform?

A: OBGYN stands for obstetrics and gynecology, which means I am specialized to take care of women throughout all phases of their lives.

For obstetrics, I will help you achieve a safe and healthy pregnancy. I have received extensive training in many types of deliveries, including midwifery-style and traditional vaginal deliveries, operative deliveries as well as cesarean deliveries. I also am trained to manage miscarriages, medically and surgically. I also have a special interest and training in perinatal depression.

For gynecology, I am trained in general well-woman care, including screening for cancers and other issues throughout a woman's lifetime. I perform pap smears, colposcopies, and cervical excisional procedures. I provide traditional and emergency contraception and can help you determine which is best for you. I perform hysteroscopies, hysterectomies (robotically, laparoscopically, or via laparotomy), tubal removal/ligation, other laparoscopy (for endometriosis, cysts, fertility assessment), endometrial ablations, labiaplasties.

Q: Do I need to see a gynecologist every year?

A: Yes! This does not mean you need a pap smear every year, but it does mean a women's health professional should evaluate you and your specific needs every year.

Q: When should I have my first obstetrics appointment?

A: The answer is actually before you decide to get pregnant! This is to ensure we have the healthiest YOU in order to carry the healthiest baby! This is called preconception counseling.

Q: Where do you deliver babies and perform surgeries?

A: Pomona Valley Hospital, a spectacular community hospital near our office!

Q: Do you provide care for people other than cisgender heterosexual women?

A: YES! I provide care for ANYONE who is in need of my services, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

Q: If was not assigned “woman” at birth, will you still treat me?

A: YES! Regardless of whether or not a person is assigned woman at birth, or transitioned after being assigned woman at birth, OBGYN services are necessary for a healthy life. I welcome everyone regardless of identity or orientation.
